CHRISTMAS
ON FIFTH
BAYLOR UNIVERSITY
APPAREL DESIGN CASE STUDY

THE SITUATION
Creating for Light & Legacy.
Designed for Baylor University’s Christmas on Fifth, this sweatshirt tells a multi-layered story—one rooted in holiday nostalgia, tradition, and a powerful message of justice and hope. I combined classic Christmas symbols, like wreaths and the iconic Baylor Christmas tree, with rustic Western touches. The result? A design that feels both warm and festive, while reflecting the heart of the Baylor community.
CRAFTING A WEARABLE NARRATIVE

WHAT I DID
Narrative Design Approach.
CAMPAIGN PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY
To support the campaign launch, I handled the planning, shooting, and editing of photo and video content that highlighted the sweatshirt’s design and told its story.
APPAREL DESIGN & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
I led the concept and design development of the sweatshirt, weaving in symbolic elements and narrative visuals to echo the brand’s values and the event’s theme.

THE IMPACT
Designed for Hope, Created for Justice.
UNBOUND NOW WACO
Every detail was crafted with purpose, knowing that 100% of the sales went directly to Unbound Now Waco.
Unbound Now is dedicated to ending human trafficking by identifying victims, supporting survivors, seeking justice, and leading system-wide change. This project turned design into a voice for freedom, a symbol of hope, and a way to uplift Unbound Now’s life-changing work.
This year’s Christmas on Fifth set a new fundraising record for Unbound Waco, selling over 500 sweatshirts and raising the most money the event has ever generated.
More than just apparel, the sweatshirt reflected a mutual commitment to meaningful change and shared values of compassion and justice.
RAISING THE BAR FOR GIVING

Wore the Story.
Carried the Cause.

Primary Image
A WESTERN ICON FOR A MODERN MISSION
At the heart of the design is a tribute to frontier hero Bill Tilghman, featured in the historic Legends of the West stamp series. An 1875 lawman known for his fearless pursuit of justice, Tilghman represents protection, courage, and grit—qualities I saw mirrored in the mission of Unbound Now.
By incorporating Tilghman’s image into the design, I created a visual symbol of strength and justice woven into the fabric of Christmas tradition. The result was a sweatshirt that felt timeless yet intentional, one that celebrated Baylor’s community spirit while elevating a cause far beyond campus.
